SUMMARY
Another BUSY day of player movement saw the following take place in our tracker:
Entries = 23 (-14 from day prior)
Signings = 149 (+5 from day prior)
Here is a look at the total breakdown from our Portal Tracker: Summary page:
With five days left in the window, we are starting to see the entries slow down a bit, and the signings continue to pick up. We are now at 43% committed to their 2026 schools. As those signings occur, it could push others to enter based on positional depth, so that is something to monitor over the next week. If this keeps up, we are looking at just under 4,000 players moving within the FBS realm. Crazy.
WHAT AM I LOOKING AT HERE?
We are tracking roster talent churn. It’s important to note that this rating and ranking is 1.) portal-only and 2.) total roster talent churn. This means that we are counting every player who is coming and going to come up with this ranking. Later, we will dive into actual impacts by projecting rotational playing time. We had some questions about this and thought it important to describe in more detail.
TOP TEN :::::: view all >
The UCLA Bruins have taken over the top spot, jumping Arizona State yesterday with four signings, including a top punter, two defensive linemen, and an offensive lineman. Wake Forest continues their climb now into the top five. We have two new entrants into our top ten, with Louisville and Arizona making an appearance. Falling out are Minnesota (now #14) and Houston (#19).
We now have 23 of 136 teams in positive talent churn (+4 from a day ago).

TRENDS
Top Ten Trending UP:
Bill Belichick can crew are getting some work done and are the biggest movers of the day. They jump 23 spots up to #57 in the overall talent churn rankings. This is primarily driven by the big pickup of former Buckeye TE Jelani Thurman [16.5]. They also grabbed former Michigan State DB Ade Willie [11.2] and a couple of other role players.
The Mountaineers of Appalachian State have been moving of late, with head coach Dowell Loggains already feeling the pressure to improve on a 5-win (2-7 SBC record) 2025 season, his first at the helm. He’s hitting the portal hard and move up 22 spots to #51 overall. Look out for WR Chris Lofton [13.6] to make an impact in 2026 after a season at Gardner-Webb that saw him catch 55 passes for 917 yards and four scores in a redshirt freshman break out. They added three other players to the mix as well as the turnover is piling up, but they are beginning to get some difference-makers in Boone, NC.

TOP PLAYER ENTRIES
Notes: YER = Years of Eligibility remaining.
A ‘+’ indicates a potential additional year for a medical hardship waiver for the 2025 season.
TE Tony Livingston [16.2], leaving Florida
Livingston, a junior standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 264 pounds, enters the portal following three seasons in Gainesville. A Tampa native, he originally arrived at Florida as a four-star offensive tackle prospect before successfully transitioning to tight end. During the 2025 season, he appeared in 10 games with five starts, recording 11 receptions for 119 yards and two touchdowns. Over his career with the Gators, he amassed 232 receiving yards and four total touchdowns. He grades out particularly high and if put in the right position, could be a break out star in 2026.DB Brandyn Hillman [14.8], leaving Michigan
Hillman was a big part of the Michigan secondary during the 2025 season, earning All-Big Ten Honorable Mention honors as a starting safety. The Portsmouth, Virginia native proved to be a physical “thumper” on defense, finishing the year as the team’s fourth-leading tackler with 49 total stops and one interception. Standing 6-foot-0 and 200 pounds, he played 545 defensive snaps and led the Wolverines with a 75.8 coverage grade according to PFF. Hillman, who was originally a highly-touted recruit from Churchland High School, spent three years in Ann Arbor and played in a total of 33 games.RB Steve Chavez-Soto [14.6], leaving San Jose State
Chavez-Soto is coming off a stellar freshman campaign in 2025 where he flashed significant potential as a lead back for the Spartans. Hailing from Chino, California, the 6-foot-0, 205-pound runner did not play in the first four games but became a focal point of the offense starting in week six. He finished the season with 448 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 87 carries, averaging a healthy 5.1 yards per attempt. His production was particularly impressive in the second half of games, where his physical running style often wore down opposing defenses. Given his high-level freshman production, he is expected to be a top target for Power Four programs looking for a long-term solution in the backfield.LB Elo Modozie [13.5], leaving Georgia
Modozie, a 6-foot-4, 250-pound outside linebacker from Saint Augustine, Florida, is entering the portal after a single season in Athens. He previously spent two years at Army, where he was a disruptive edge rusher with 7.5 career sacks before joining the Bulldogs in 2025. While his statistical output at Georgia was modest with eight total tackles, he showed improvement late in the year, posting a season-high three tackles in the Sugar Bowl against Ole Miss. Modozie is noted for his length and explosiveness, physical traits that high-level programs often covet for rotational pass-rush packages. He entered the portal with a “no contact” tag, which typically indicates he has a specific destination already in mind for his final year of eligibility.DL Blake Purchase [13.2], leaving Oregon
Purchase is a 6-foot-3, 245-pound edge rusher who served as a highly productive situational player for the Ducks during their 2025 campaign. He recorded 32 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks this past season, along with an interception. Purchase was also a standout basketball player in high school, which likely contributed to his exceptional fluidity and speed on the field. He leaves Oregon with two years of remaining eligibility after appearing in 15 games last season. Coaches have praised his character and patience, though he now seeks a larger role as a primary starter elsewhere.OL Jacob Strand [13.1], leaving Oregon State
Strand is a 6-foot-5, 302-pound offensive lineman from Canby, Oregon, who has spent the last four seasons with the Beavers. He enters the portal as a redshirt junior after appearing in various roles along the line, including tackle and tight end during his early high school years. While his 2024 season was cut short by injury, he was highly ranked on Oregon State’s depth chart heading into 2025 and participated in three games during that stretch. His veteran experience and frame make him a valuable target for teams looking to bolster their offensive line depth.RB Christian Clark [12.2], leaving Texas
Clark, a redshirt freshman from Phoenix, Arizona, is looking for a new home after a year of limited but promising action in Austin. He missed his true freshman season in 2024 due to an Achilles injury but returned to appear in eight games during 2025. He made his first career start in the Citrus Bowl against Michigan, delivering a breakout performance with 105 rushing yards and a touchdown. On the season, he totaled 236 rushing yards and two scores, averaging 4.3 yards per carry. Despite his bowl game success, a crowded Longhorns backfield and new incoming transfers prompted his decision to seek somewhere he can be featured and cash in on his late-season showcase.LB Kamar Mothudi [11.5], leaving Oregon
Mothudi is a talented 6-foot-3, 245-pound linebacker who was a top-175 overall prospect in the 2024 recruiting class. He redshirted his first year in Eugene and appeared in six games during the 2025 season, primarily in blowout victories. During his limited action this past year, he recorded four total tackles and spent time transitioning from inside to outside linebacker. Though buried on a deep Ducks depth chart, he is still viewed as a bruising, high-upside defender with three years of eligibility remaining. Rumors suggest California could be a potential landing spot, as former Oregon defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi—who originally recruited him—is now the head coach there.WR Landon Wright [11.5], leaving Washington State
Wright, a redshirt freshman receiver from Fresno, California, showed flashes of explosive playmaking ability for the Cougars in 2025. Standing 5-foot-11 and 173 pounds, he appeared in 11 games, recording seven catches for 121 yards and two touchdowns. He averaged an impressive 17.3 yards per reception, highlighted by a 39-yard touchdown grab in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl win over Utah State. He put up monster numbers in high school with 1,406 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns during his senior year.OL Delano Townsend [11.4], leaving Ole Miss
Townsend is a versatile 6-foot-5, 330-pound offensive lineman who served as a starter for the Rebels during their 2025 season. Originally from Flint, Michigan, he began his career at UAB before transferring to Oxford, where he started 13 games and helped the team reach the national semifinals. Known for his strength and size, he specifically stabilized the interior of the Ole Miss line once he took over a starting guard position. He enters the portal with two years of eligibility remaining and is considered one of the most proven offensive linemen available. Intel suggests Michigan and LSU are programs to monitor as potential destinations for the veteran blocker.
